Sweet Sister Pain – Songs from the 4th Dimension (2012)

Die Hamburger Dark Romantic Rocker “sweet sister pain” haben zu Ihrer Showproduktion “Songs from the 4th Dimension” eine EP eingespielt, die einen Vorgeschmack auf das liefert, was man bei Ihrem Konzert in der Markthalle Hamburg am 16.6.2012 erwarten darf. Gunther Laudahn (Git, Vox – Sarah Brightman, Gregorian), Charlotte Kracht (Vox, Cello – Lacrimosa, Eden) und Rudolph Naomi (Drums – KMFDM, Blitzmaschine) haben sich um zwei interessante Gastsänger verstärkt. Constance Rudert (ex. Blutengel, Cinderella Effect) und Richard Naxton (Gregorian) teilen sich die Vocals mit den “süssen Schwestern” und verpassen dem Trailer Song “16- 6 (drowning)” eine Hymnischen Mitsing- Character. Die Independent Hymne ist voll von Anspielungen auf das Datum 16.6., auf das Jahr des Drachen 2012 und vieles mehr. Das dazugehörige Video zeigt die beiden ebenfalls in der Show mitwirkenden Performer Catherine Barche und Rolf Bleischwitz in atemberaubender Kulisse im Hamburger Hafen. Gunther Laudahn selber filmte den Clip nach einer Idee aus einem Traum! Ungewöhnlich leichtfüssig und witzig kommt die Bearbeitung des französischen Traditionells “Noel nouvelet” daher. eine knapp dreiminütige Reise durch Zeit, Raum und verschiedene Stile. Beim Song “Unhappy” schwirrt ein Hauch von Goa durch´s Intro, es entwickelt sich ein rockiger Groove und zum Ende hin Rockt ein Cello Solo das Haus. 16- 6 (drowning) sweet sister pain vs. DJ Laudicina 140punch spaceball mix wiederum ist eine ziemlich krasse “electro Orgie”, die ganz sicher manche Tanzfläche zum Raumschiff werden lässt. Dubstep Assoziationen sind durchaus beabsichtigt. Als fünften und letzten Track gibt es ein Playback der Single 16- 6 (drowning). sweet sister pain wünschen sich ausdrücklich, dass Fans ihre eigene Version des Songs auf das Playback singen und dazu Ihre eigenen Videos filmen und im Internet verbreiten.

The german dark romantic / art rock trio “sweet sister pain” recorded a new EP to promote the showproduction “Songs from the 4th Dimension” an give an idea what to expect from the live show at the 16.6.2012 in markthalle hamburg. Gunther Laudahn (Git, Vox – Sarah Brightman, Gregorian), Charlotte Kracht (Vox, Cello – Lacrimosa, Eden) and Rudolph Naomi (Drums – KMFDM, Blitzmaschine) stocked up the cast with a few wonderful guest artists. Constance Rudert (ex. Blutengel, Cinderella Effect) and Richard Naxton (Gregorian) share the vocals with the “sweet sisters”. The singletrack “16- 6 (drowning)” is a “singalong independent hymn” and it is full of hints, links and shortcuts to the date 16.6.2012 and the year of the dragon. The video shows the other two performers Catherine Barche and Rolf Bleischwitz in the breathtaking enviroment of the harbour of hamburg. Gunther Laudahn filmed this clip after a dream he had. Light and quite funny is the adaption of the great french traditiolell “Noel nouvelet” about 3 minutes of a jpourney through time and space and styles. The song “Unhappy” has a taste of goa in the beginning and developes into a rockish groove and ends with a cello solo that makes a couple of guitarsolos look lame. 16- 6 (drowning) sweet sister pain vs. DJ Laudicina 140punch spaceball mix again is an electronic orgy that turnes every dancefloor to a spaceship and provides crazy dubstep sounds. the fifth and last track is playback of the single 16- 6 (drowning). sweet sister pain want the fans to dub their own version of the songs on the playback and load it up the the world wide web.
