evo-lution wurde bereits im Jahr 1996 von Klaus Schwarz gegründet, damals aber noch als reine Synthie-Pop Band. Nach wechselnden Mitstreitern stießen im Mai 2016 Micha und Heiko zur Band und der Sound änderte sich hörbar : die Sounds wurden härter und aus der ehemaligen Synthie-Pop Band wurde langsam eine Band, die man nun mit einer Mischung aus (Dark-)Electro, Electronic Body Music und markannten Synth-Klängen beschreiben kann, die aber auch ihre Inspiration aus anderen Musikrichtungen aus dem elektronischen Bereich zieht. Heiko verließ die Band Ende 2018 – seit September 2019 ist Björn Miethe (System Noire) der dritte Mann im Bunde Im Mai 2019 kam die die EP „Commander“, auf dem Markt, welches einen guten Vorgeschmack auf das kommende Album „Mind Machines“ geben wird. Die Band plant noch vor dem Album eine zweite. aber digitale Single herrauszubringen. Im Frühjahr 2022 kommt dann, das neue vierte Album „Mind Machines” und verspricht harte und tanzbare Songs mit treibenden Sounds wie Oldschool EBM und schönen Cybersynth Elementen. 2022 war die Band Support mit Nachtmahr quer durch Deutschland unterwegs.
