Synthetica – The City Of Dis (2013)

Am 18. Oktober 2013 veröffentlicht der niederländische ElectroAct Synthetica sein zweites Album mit dem Namen ‘The City of Dis “, inspiriert durch Dantes Inferno und Bands wie Tactical Sekt und Skinny Puppy.
Die Angst vor dem Ende der Zeiten hat es immer gegeben. Synthetica erstes Album philosophierte über mögliche Wege wie die Welt ihr Ende finden könnte. Ihr zweiter Release geht darüber hinaus und beschreibt das Leben nach dem Tod, ganz nach Dante Alighieri dem Schriftsteller aus dem 14. Jahrhundert.
Neben diesem zentralen Thema werden Themen wie der industrielle und wirtschaftliche Fortschritt im Laufe der Jahrhunderte in die neuen Songs eingebettet.
Die Bandbreite der Songs umfasst hypnotisierende Melodien aber auch harte und brachiale Beats. Ed Schaap schuf das Artwork. Bereiten Sie sich für einen 68 minütigen Fahrt durch das Herz der Finsternis.

On October 18, 2013, Dutch electro act Synthetica will release their second album ‘The City of Dis’, inspired by the famous Dante’s Inferno and bands like Tactical Sekt and Skinny Puppy.
There has always been fear for the end of times. Synthetica’s first album focussed on possible ways for the world to end. Their second release goes beyond this and describes the afterlife according to Dante Alighieri, a 14th century writer.
Besides this central theme, subjects as industrial and economical progression throughout the centuries are embedded in the new songs.
The tracks contain a wide variety of electro, from mesmerizing ambient melodies to harsh and violent beats. Ed Schaap created the artwork,the music was arranged by Satan himself. Prepare for a 68 minute journey through the heart of darkness.
