Message for our USA customers

Dear friends from the USA, unfortunately, the new tariffs for goods from outside the USA have been implemented, meaning that when ordering goods from European bands, their online shops, or Bandcamp, we are all now affected by your president’s executive order. There are still a few exemptions—for example, vinyl records—but apparel is now fully under tax control.
Many bands offer to send goods „officially“ as gifts, but this is only legitimate up to a maximum declaration of $100 USD. So when you order from your beloved bands, make sure to communicate about the possibilities to reduce the threat of substantial tax payments. Although your president always claims he is doing this for US taxpayers, it is a lie—the tax will be paid by you on top of the original cost.
It is really sad how backward colonial policies affect even our international dark and gothic families. Don’t forget how life-threatening these backward policies are to those who built up US society by doing low-paid work and are now threatened with being tracked and brutally torn out and deported by Palantir-driven ICE, like in a dystopian science fiction movie.
It is sad but true: We always think that politics do not affect „us“ until they enter our sphere. There is a powerful quote from pastor Niemöller from Germany’s darkest history: „When the Nazis came for the communists, I kept silent; I wasn’t a communist. When they came for the trade unionists, I was silent; I was not a trade unionist. When they came for the Jews, I was silent; I wasn’t a Jew. When they came for me, there was no one left to protest.“
