PTYL – aus dem goldenen Käfig
Es kommt einer Sensation gleich. PTYL, israelisches Ausnahmetalent des elektronischen Sample Dekonstruktivismus, seit einigen Jahren wohnhaft in San Francisco, meldet sich mit einem neuen Release zurück. Wir erinnern uns an Meisterwerke wie Dragon vom Album Hell Sounds oder das Seitenprojekt Demoncast. Sein Labelchef Bruno Kramm beschrieb zuletzt das Schaffen von Ptyl in diesem Zitat zum perfekten Remix:
«Here I can mention a song of one of my label artists, that was built out of over fifty fragments of other songs. The musician with the name Ptyl (Hebrew for fuse) hails from Israel and is an absolute mastermind. Without exception he is using samples of other bands and then he is conjuring massive sound worlds, without using a studio but an old MS-DOS tracker. »
Seit heute, dem Valentinstag, ist das epische Werk voller bissiger, sarkastischer Kanten und unkonventioneller Sample-Art erhältlich. PTYL selbst hat eine Botschaft zum Album veröffentlicht.
